To be honest, I think that is why I struggle even more now a days to feel beautiful. It doesn't just affect young children, it affects adults too. That's why when I watch TV and I see a commercial, I do my best to change. Also, at malls, I mean it's hard to not see all these stores and such that advertise too. Bah!
Denise - you are so right. It just scares me to no end that it begins affecting girls so young. How sad that we literally grow-up surrounded by messages that say, "you are ugly and fat and ugly." Shame on us!
Thank goodness our good Lord loves us unconditionally just the way we are. Now if only we all viewed ourselves as God does.
